I’ve tried a lot of moisturizers. Let me tell you honestly my skin was extremely dry and acne-prone and that’s what brought me to the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion.
So if you
are having an acne-prone and dry skin like me, you’ll know that it’s pretty
damn difficult to get the balance right.
The cetaphil
lotion is light-weight and non-greasy, but nourishing enough to restore and
hydrate both sensitive and dry skins. That’s exactly what I needed.
Key Benefits of Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion:
· A light-weight and non-greasy
cetaphil lotion specifically formulated with Avocado Oil to restore and hydrate
both dry and sensitive skin.
· Cetaphil moisturizer is specially
formulated with a dermatologist-backed blend of Niacin-amide (Vitamin B3), Panthenol
(pro-vitamin B5) and hydrating Glycerin which help to improve the resilience of
sensitive skin.
· This lotion defends against 5 signs
of skin sensitivity, damaged skin barrier, roughness, tightness, dryness, and
irritation.
· In 1 week it completely restores your
skin’s natural moisture barrier.
· Immediately soothes sensitive skin
and hydrates your skin for 48 hours.
· Clinically proven and Dermatologist
tested to be gentle on sensitive skin.
· The Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion is
fragrance-free. Personally, I love this, and it means that it’s more suitable
for sensitive skin types! If you have very sensitive skin, I think this could
be a winner.
The Texture & Consistency:
· The Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion has a thick, white and creamy consistency. It actually
feels pretty thick when you first get it out of the bottle. It’s not runny at
all. Despite this, it absorbs pretty quickly and leaves the skin hydrated, with
a very slight tackiness.
· For me, it’s a perfect balance and my
skin left with a healthy glow.
· For very oily skin types i think the ‘glow’ could be too much. But it doesn’t do anything to control oiliness and, as I said, even leaves skin slightly (very slightly) sticky.
The results:
I have acne-prone skin; I’m fairly prone to dryness and flakey skin, under my eyes, especially around my nose and around my mouth. (It gets really annoying.)
After using Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion regularly
for a week, in both morning and night skincare routine, I noticed that the flakiness on my skin didn’t happen quite
so often. It seemed to keep my skin more hydrated, more balanced and fresher
without being too greasy.
Ingredients:
· Niacin-amide has an infinite list of
proven benefits for the skin it can support a healthy natural skin barrier,
improve hydration and improve skin conditions including acne, rosacea and
atopic dermatitis.
· Glycerin is a natural moisturizer
that protects against irritation and helps to restore the skin natural barrier.
· Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) is a
humectant, which can help the skin to attract water and then hold onto it.
· Avocado oil (also known as Persea
Gratissima Oil) is highly moisturizing soothing oil that makes your skin smooth
and nourished.
· Sunflower seed oil (also known as Helianthus
Annuus Seed Oil) is loaded with nourishing fatty acids and traps moisture to
keep the skin hydrated.
· Normally I’d include a list of
not-so-nice ingredients at this point, but there’s nothing negative to shout
about here.
Final Words:
I am
definitely recommending the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion for anyone with
acne-prone skin that is on the drier or more sensitive side.
If your skin
is oilier, then i think you should give this a pass. It gives your skin a
slight glow and tacky feeling and doesn’t control oil production at all. You
might want to try the Cetaphil
Moisturizing Lotion.
One more thing I’ve to say that if your skin is very dry, you might prefer something richer, such as the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.
